Key Types of UV Stabilizers

◾️   UV Absorbers : 

These compounds (e.g., benzophenones, benzotriazoles) absorb harmful UV radiation and release it as harmless heat, preventing it from breaking polymer bonds.

◾️   Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS) : 

HALS act as radical scavengers, interrupting the photo-oxidation cycle, making them highly effective for long-term stabilization, even at low concentrations.

◾️   Quenchers : 

These absorb energy from excited polymer molecules and dissipate it, preventing the polymer from degrading.

Mechanism of Action
